He was granted the title of neurosurgeon upon completion of residency at Neurosurgery Department, School of Medicine, Hacettepe University in 1982.
He was granted the title of “Associate Professor” in 1988 and “Professor” in 1994.
He has been an Adjunct Professor in Toledo University since 2018.

Principal areas of clinical interest:
- Disc surgery,
- Spinal Surgery,
- Degenerative spine.
