• She studied Neuroimmunology and experimental model of multiple sclerosis at Mayo Clinic while being mentored by Prof. Moses Rodriguez in 1991 and 1992. Her study was awarded the “Eczacıbaşı Medical Incentive Prize”.
• She was granted the title of “Associate Professor” in 1997 and “Professor” in 2003.
• She worked with Prof. Claudia Lucchinetti and Prof. Brian Weinshenker at Mayo Clinic on neuroimmunopathological mechanisms, radiologic correlates and demyelinization/remyelinaziation mechanisms of multiple sclerosis in 2001.
• She was “lecturer (faculty member)” in neuroimmunology classes of master’s and doctorate programs on “neuroscience” and “immunology” at Aziz Sancar Experimental Medicine and Research Institute from 2005 to 2018.
• She has been a board member of European School of Neuroimmunology, member of BioMS-eu Study Group and coordinator of Neuroimmunology Study Group at Turkish Neurological Society for a long time.
