Between 1991 and 1994, he worked as Chief Assistant of Cardiovascular Surgery at OLV Hospital in Aalst, Belgium. He returned to Türkiye in 1994 and started working at the newly established Florence Nightingale Hospital. He became Assistant Professor in 1997, Associate Professor in 1999, and Professor in 2005. He worked as Head of the Cardiovascular Surgery Department at the same hospital between 2001 and 2020. He has been working at Koç University Hospital since October 2020. He has a total of nearly 100 printed publications and over 200 publications presented at various meetings, both domestically and internationally.
