  • Prof. Dr. Fatih Aslan received his medical degree in 2001. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine in 2007 and his fellowship in Gastroenterology in 2010. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2016 and attained the rank of Full Professor in 2021.
  • Following his specialization, between 2013 and 2016, he pursued advanced training in endoscopic procedures in Japan, the United States, and Europe. During this period, he focused on Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD), Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR), Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM), Endoscopic Full-Thickness Resection (EFTR), Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG), endoscopic reflux therapies, and advanced suturing and closure techniques—contributing significantly to the academic literature in these fields.
  • Since 2013, Prof. Dr. Aslan has concentrated on the clinical application and technical advancement of minimally invasive endoscopic therapies. He has successfully performed many procedures for the first time in Türkiye and has played a leading role in their national adoption. To date, he has performed over 10,000 advanced endoscopic interventions.
  • His clinical innovations and scientific contributions have been recognized globally, with numerous invited lectures, live demonstrations, and educational sessions at major international conferences including DDW (USA), UEGW (Europe), ESGE (Europe), JDDW (Japan), KDDW (Korea), and UGH (Türkiye). He has received multiple prestigious awards for his work.
  • Prof. Dr. Aslan has been named World Champion of Endoscopy at international conferences held in 2016 (USA), 2022 (Japan), and 2025 (USA). In 2016, he was awarded the World Cup of Endoscopy by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) for an original technique he developed. He was also honored with the “Best of the Best” award by ASGE in both 2022 and 2025.
  • Prof. Dr. Aslan is an active member of several leading international societies, including: American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE), Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society (JGES), World Endoscopy Organization (WEO).
  • In addition, he serves as a board member of the Turkish Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, contributing to the advancement of endoscopy at the national level.

  • Gastric POEM (G-POEM / POP): For gastroparesis,
  • Zenker’s Diverticuloseptomyotomy (Z-POEM): For esophageal diverticula,
  • Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG): For obesity treatment,
  • Chromoendoscopy & Magnifying Endoscopy: For Barrett’s esophagus, intestinal metaplasia, and early tumor evaluation,
