General Surgery

General Surgery education made organ transplant surgery a part of his life. The process began with kidney transplant. Then, He started dealing with Hepatobiliary Surgery following one-year training on Hepatobiliopancreatic Surgery at Istanbul School of Medicine.
He was the first scholar who was granted liver transplant fellowship program abroad by Liver Transplantation Society. He worked with Prof .John Fung in the field of liver transplant and hepatobiliary surgery in Cleveland Clinic.
He conducted studies on organ transplant and hepatobiliary surgeries after he returned to Türkiye. He took responsibilities in organ transplant programs, after being awarded the title of “Associate Professor of General Surgery” in 2010.
He has been “Professor of General Surgery” since 2016.
