Prof. Ilmay Bilge, M.D.

Pediatric Nephrology - Head of Department

She was Board Member of Turkish Society of Pediatric Nephrology from 2016 to 2019.
She was the Founding Head of Pediatrics Department at School of Medicine, Koç University from 2013 to 2018.
She authored 84 international original studies and papers that were cited by more than 1800 studies, 15 books and book chapters on pediatrics.
She received two “international scientific awards”.
Active member of European Society of Pediatric Nephrology, International Pediatric Nephrology Association, International Pediatric Transplantation Association, Turkish Society of Nephrology, Pediatric Rheumatology International Trials Organization and Pediatric Rheumatology Society.

Pediatric Nephrology
- Acute and chronic renal diseases in children,
- Renal disorders diagnosed in pregnancy (Antenatal hydronephrosis etc.),
- Urinary tract infections,
- Vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) and other congenital renal anomalies,

- Urinary incontinence, voiding disorders and bladder dysfunctions,
- End-stage kidney failure,
- Dialysis and kidney transplant,
- Renal cysts.

Pediatric Rheumatology
- Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF),
- Periodic Fever Syndromes (PFAPA etc.),
- Henoch-Schöenlein Purpura and other vasculitis,
- Systemic Lupus Erythematosus,
- Arthritis and other rheumatoid diseases in childhood,
- Involvement of kidney in rheumatoid diseases.
