Worked as a clinic fellow in School of Medicine, Yale University for nephrology residency with scholarship of International Society of Nephrology from 2007 to 2008.
He was granted the title “Associate Professor” in 2010 and “Professor” in 2015.
He is elected as Distinguished Fellow of European Renal Association, FERA, in 2013 and Distinguished Fellow of American Society of Nephrology, FASN, in 2018.
Gained the TÜBİTAK Science Encouragement Award in 2014 due to his studies in the field of nephrology.
Published more than 330 papers on nephrology and member of editorial board in various journals.
Editor of Cardiovascular Disease and Hypertension Chapter of Clinical Kidney Journal which is the official journal of European Renal Association. Member of scientific editorial board in various international journals.
He is elected as member of European Academy of Science and Arts in 2021 due to his researches related with kidney disease, kidney transplantation, hypertension
Member of Turkish Society of Nephrology, Hypertension- Dialysis and Transplantation Society, European Renal Association, International Society of Nephrology, American Society of Nephrology, Eropean Society of Hypertension, International Society of Hypertension.
