Psychology

She has been to University of Liverpool within the scope of Laureate International Universities in 2011.
She worked at Psychiatry Department of Surp Pırgiç Armenian Hospital under supervision for the practical part of Master’s Degree Education for 10 months.
She was awarded the title clinical psychologist after she got her master’s degree through the dissertation study titled “Perceived Stigmatization, Discrimination and Grief Symptoms in Cancer Patients” that she authored by working with cancer patients in 2015.
She was awarded the title Clinical Psychologist with Doctorate Degree with her doctorate dissertation study titled “Effect of Awareness-Based Psychotherapy on Symptoms of Stress and Psychological Trauma and Rehabilitation Needs of Patients in Cancer Cases” in 2020.
She provides psychotherapy services for students of Koç University School of Medicine and School of Nursing in KUPTEM unit (Koç University Psychological Consultancy and Physiotherapy Center).
She works in the field of psychotherapy with Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Solution-Oriented Therapy approaches.

Principal areas of work:
- Relationship problems, conflicts in communication,
- Difficulty in stress and anger management,
- Grief,
- Challenges during the transition to adulthood,
- Anxiety disorders (phobia, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder), depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (adjustment disorder, acute stress disorder),
- Psychotherapy applications focusing on psychological and social needs of individuals who are diagnosed with cancer in any part of life .
