He was member of the Board of Higher Education and the Science Committee of TÜBİTAK from 2000 to 2004.
He was the Director of Oncology Institute in Hacettepe University from 2001 to 2004 and from 2007 to 2009.
Founder Dean, Koç University.

- Tumor pathology,
- Hematopathology,
- Bone and soft tissue pathology,
- Immunopathology,
- Research and article ethics.
