He conducted investigations at Urology Clinic, Mannheim School of Medicine, Heidelberg University from 1996 to 1998.
He made studies in the field of Urooncology at Mayo Clinic in 1997.
He was awarded the title of “Associate Professor” in 1994 and “Professor” in 2000 at School of Medicine, İstanbul University
He was the chairman of Turkish Urological Association from 2006 to 2008.
He was member of Board, European Association of Urology, from 2003 to 2013.
He is Head of Department of Urology, American Hospital since 2002.
He had been the Deputy Dean in the School of Medicine of Koç University from 2014 to 2017.

Principal areas of clinical interest:
- Urooncology (bladder, prostate, kidney, testis, adrenal gland cancers),
- Robotic surgery,
- Laparoscopic surgery,
- Lower urinary system complaints in men (BPH),
- Urinary system stone disease,
- Endoscopic stone surgery.
