Umut Altunoğlu, M.D.

He completed the Medical Genetics residency in 2011.
He participated in molecular research projects regarding etiology of rare recessive congenital muscle dystrophies and hereditary facial paralysis as short-term research fellow at Human Genetics Department of Radboud University (Nijmegen, the Netherlands) in 2010.
He authored more than 40 papers published in international peer-review journals.

Principal areas of clinical interest:
- Dysmorphology, clinical and molecular syndromology,
- Prenatal and postmortem fetal genetic diagnosis,
- Frontonasal dysplasias,
- Skeletal chondrodysplasias.
