WE DO NOT FORGET OUR ANIMAL FRIENDS
THE GOAL OF THE PROJECT
In the "We Do Not Forget Our Animal Friends" project, it is aimed to donate the overcooked meals left over from the 3 meals served for our employees in our current cafeteria in our hospital to the animal shelter to prevent them from turning into food waste. With this project, it is aimed to reduce domestic waste in our hospital with donated meals and at the same time to help stray animals live a healthier life.
THE SUBJECT OF THE PROJECT
The "We Don't Forget Our Animal Friends" project was implemented by taking into account social responsibilities in Environment and Waste Management studies, and by donating the excess food from our catering company Dining Hall in our hospital to animal shelters, while also reducing domestic waste. One of our collaborators, Dining hall, stocks overcooked meals and shares them with our other stakeholder, Göktürk Animal Lovers Association, which plays a role in feeding animals, on certain days. Göktürk Animal Lovers Association, on the other hand, feeds homeless animals found in villages and streets abandoned in forests, with donated meals - through their "Forest Feeding" project.

WHAT RESULT DID THE PROJECT GIVE? / WHAT DID HE ACHIEVE?
Within the scope of the "We Do Not Forget Our Animal Friends" project, approximately 79,845 kg of food has been donated since December 2020. Thanks to this project, while helping our homeless animals living in the forests and villages in Göktürk district to continue their lives, our domestic waste amount has also been reduced by preventing food waste.
