He was granted the certificate of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) in 1997.
He received the European Certificate in Pediatric Surgery following an exam in Mannheim in 2004.
He received Pediatric Surgery Board Certificate in 2005.
He has observer in University of Michigan, Dept Of Pediatric Surgery, Ann Arbor, USA; Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Dublin, Ireland and Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston, USA in 1999, 2003 and 2004.
He was granted the title “Associate Professor” in 2012 and “Professor” in 2019.
He has been Head of Pediatric Surgery Department at American Hospital since 2002.
He participated in the foundation of Pediatric Surgery Department in Koç University and was head of the department until 2020.
