OUR DOCTORS Prof. Yasemin Gürsoy Özdemir, M.D. Neurology REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT She conducted her postdoctoral investigations at Harvard University from 2001 to 2004. She was granted the Fulbright Scholarship in 2000 and International Brain Research Organization Scholarship in 2001. She received TÜBA GEBİP Incentive Award in 2005 and “Eczacıbaşı Science Incentive Award” in 2006. She received “Güven Hospital 1st Aysun Temizel Science Award” in 2007. She received TÜBİTAK Incentive Award in 2008. She played role in restructuring the Basic Neurological Sciences Doctorate Program at Neurological Sciences and Psychiatry Institute, Hacettepe University from 2004 to 2014. She took role in founding the Department of Neurology, Koç University Hospital. Member of Board, Neuroscience Society of Turkey. She is reviewer for European Union and TÜBİTAK projects. Principal areas of clinical interest: Headache, particularly migraine and tension-type headache, Stroke, small vessel diseases, Basic mechanisms of neurologic diseases, Neurologic effects of systemic diseases.
