Neurology
- She conducted her postdoctoral investigations at Harvard University from 2001 to 2004.
- She was granted the Fulbright Scholarship in 2000 and International Brain Research Organization Scholarship in 2001.
- She received TÜBA GEBİP Incentive Award in 2005 and “Eczacıbaşı Science Incentive Award” in 2006.
- She received “Güven Hospital 1st Aysun Temizel Science Award” in 2007.
- She received TÜBİTAK Incentive Award in 2008.
- She played role in restructuring the Basic Neurological Sciences Doctorate Program at Neurological Sciences and Psychiatry Institute, Hacettepe University from 2004 to 2014.
- She took role in founding the Department of Neurology, Koç University Hospital.
- Member of Board, Neuroscience Society of Turkey.
- She is reviewer for European Union and TÜBİTAK projects.
- Principal areas of clinical interest:
- Headache, particularly migraine and tension-type headache,
- Stroke, small vessel diseases,
- Basic mechanisms of neurologic diseases,
- Neurologic effects of systemic diseases.
