  • She received TÜBA GEBİP Incentive Award in 2005 and “Eczacıbaşı Science Incentive Award” in 2006.
  • She received “Güven Hospital 1st Aysun Temizel Science Award” in 2007.
  • She received TÜBİTAK Incentive Award in 2008.
  • She played role in restructuring the Basic Neurological Sciences Doctorate Program at Neurological Sciences and Psychiatry Institute, Hacettepe University from 2004 to 2014.
  • She took role in founding the Department of Neurology, Koç University Hospital.
  • Member of Board, Neuroscience Society of Turkey.
  • She is reviewer for European Union and TÜBİTAK projects.
  • Principal areas of clinical interest:
    • Headache, particularly migraine and tension-type headache,
    • Stroke, small vessel diseases,
    • Basic mechanisms of neurologic diseases,
    • Neurologic effects of systemic diseases.
