Prof. Yüksel Peker, M.D.

Sleep Apnea Outpatient Clinic and Sleep Laboratory

He got his doctorate degree in the field of sleep apnea and cardiovascular diseases at Institute of Medicine, the University of Gothenburg in Sweden in 2000.
He was awarded the title “Associate Professor” at the University of Gothenburg in 2007.
He made clinical studies and conducted investigations on sleep apnea and cardiac diseases at Skaraborg Education and Research Hospital and the University of Gothenburg Sahlgrenska Hospital/Östra until 2015.
He is appointed as Professor at Marmara University School of Medicine in Istanbul in 2015, and founded the multidisciplinary Sleep Medicine Center.
He has been Visiting Senior Researcher at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden from 2015 to 2017 and at Lund University in Sweden at intervals as of January 2018.
He is Adjunct Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, the U.S. since 2017.
He serves as a member of Editorial Board at American Journal of the Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, and Associate Editor for Annals of the American Thoracic Society as well as Journal of Clinical Medicine.
He founded the Sleep Apnea Outpatient Clinic and the Sleep Laboratory at Koç University Hospital in 2019.
He has received American Thoracic Society Fellowship in 2020.
He is appointed as Visiting Professor at the Division of Sleep Medicine, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, the U.S. in 2022.

- Insomnia.
