Prof. Candan Gürses, M.D.

Neurology

After her Neurology residency, she worked at Montreal Neurology Institute, Canada for 2.5 years to specialize in epilepsy surgery.
She was granted the title of associate professor in 2003 and professor in 2010 at Neurology Department, Istanbul School of Medicine.
She gained the title of Clinical Neurophysiologist in 2011.
She was visiting lecturer at Cleveland Hospitals clinic in 2011.
She worked at Board of Turkish Chapter of International League Against Epilepsy for 8 years.
She was elected as Chair of Turkish Chapter of International League Against Epilepsy in 2014-2016.
She held International Epilepsy Congress in Istanbul in 2015 and played role in the organization.
She was Head of Epilepsy Practice and Research Center (EPIMER) affiliated to Istanbul University from 2016 tp 2018.
She has been working as Member of Intellectual Disabilities Task Force in International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) since 2017.
She authored 124 articles published in SCI-index journals and her H-index is 22.
