In 2024, Koç University Hospital became the first healthcare organization with American Hospital in Türkiye to join the Mayo Clinic Care Network. Mayo Clinic only extends its knowledge, expertise and resource to carefully screened and selected, high-quality international healthcare organizations through the Mayo Clinic Care Network- including Koç University Hospital that shares the same commitment to clinical researches.

This collaboration between Koç University Hospital and Mayo Clinic that is dedicated to enhance patient care provides an exclusive access to Mayo Clinic's extensive knowledge base, resources and expertise in health, education and research.

Mayo Clinic’s Academic Solutions team and Koç University School of Medicine work together to share resources, and implement best practices, custom-built academic solutions and strategies to elevate medical education and research quality at Koç University Hospital. With Mayo Clinic, we focus on special areas in education and research, namely graduate medical education and clinical research.

  • AskMayoExpert is an online point-of-care tool designed by Mayo Clinic physicians. This clear, concise resource offers disease management, care guidelines, treatment recommendations and reference materials for a wide variety of medical conditions.
  • eBoards are live teleconferences that allow Koç University Hospital physicians to participate in and discuss the management of complex cancer cases with teams of Mayo Clinic specialists.

Yes. Patient privacy is a priority, and we have safeguards in place to protect your health information. Anything shared with Mayo Clinic related to patient care is sent through a secure electronic connection and remains confidential.

Mayo Clinic doctors don’t schedule appointments with patients through the Mayo Clinic Care Network. The network serves to connect your Koç University Hospital healthcare team and the specialists at Mayo Clinic. As they work together, you’ll benefit from access to the latest medical expertise close to home.

Mayo Clinic does not provide second opinions or medical record reviews to international patients via email, or phone calls or via virtual visits. In order to consult diagnosis with a physician and to obtain a treatment plan, patients will be required to travel to Mayo Clinic directly.
