Prof. A. Arzu Ruacan, M.D.

She has been Head of the Medical Pathology Department at the School of Medicine of the Hacettepe University from 2004 to 2009.
She has been Head of the Federation of Pathology Societies from 2008 to 2010.
She has been member of the Committee of Curriculum Plan and Standard Determination for Specialty Education in the Ministry of Health since 2010.
She has been Head of the Medical Pathology Fellow committee of the Federation of Pathology Societies since 2018.
She has been Grade 3 Coordinator at the School of Medicine of the Koç University since 2014 and Head of the Self-Evaluation Committee since 2015.
She was granted the Turkish Journalists Association’s Sedat Simavi Health Sciences Award in 2000.
She is holder of the Hacettepe University Academic Awards in the category of the Research Group Award in 2001.
She was granted the second prize in Novartis Pharmaceutical Technology Research Award in 2003-2004.
She is the holder of the Best Trainer Award of the Koç University for the Education Year 2015-2016.
Member of Ankara Pathology Association, Turkish Society of Pathology, European Association for Haematopathology, Sheffield Kidney Institute Club and the Head & Neck Study Group of the Federation of Pathology Societies.
She authored 136 papers, including 93 papers published in international journals and 43 papers published in local journals.
