He worked at Mayo Clinic, Rochester on neurooncology and movement disorders as visiting clinician for 6 months in his residency.
He was granted title of “Associate Professor of Neurology” in 2000 and “Professor of Neurology” in 2012.
He is still the head of Behavioral Neurology and Dementia Study Group of Turkish Society of Neurology.

Principal areas of clinical interest:
- Dementia,
- Neuro-Oncology,
- Movement disorders.
