He completed his General Surgery residency at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery between 2011 and 2017. After completing his compulsory service, he began working at Koç University Hospital in 2019. In 2021, he joined the Koç University academic staff. During this period, he took an active role in the training of residents and medical students, and in organizing scientific meetings at the faculty. He received the title of Associate Professor in 2025. In 2025, he earned the title of Fellow of the European Board of Surgery–Coloproctology (FEBS-C) by passing the European Board of Colorectal Surgery exam. He is a member of the Turkish Surgical Association, Turkish Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery, Turkish Association of Trauma and Emergency Surgery, European Society of Coloproctology, and European Hernia Society. He has studies published in national and international journals. He has attended national and international congresses as a speaker, session chairman, participant, and continues to follow scientific developments closely. His studies have focused on colorectal cancer, abdominal wall hernias, prehabilitation, bowel rehabilitation, and quality of life. Main interests; Minimally invasive surgery, Laparoscopy and robotic surgery, Colon cancer, Rectal cancer, Abdominal wall hernias (incisional hernia, ventral hernia, umbilical hernia, inguinal hernia etc.), Prehabilitation (pre-operative patient optimization process), Proctological diseases (anal fissure, perianal fistula, hemorrhoidal disease, condyloma, pilonidal sinus, etc.), Pelvic floor disorders, Inflammatory bowel diseases (ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease), Stomach cancer, Benign and malignant diseases of the small intestine, Gastroesophageal reflux disease and hiatal hernia, Bowel adhesions-diseases presenting with obstruction, Enterocutaneous fistula.
