Cardiology

He completed his medical education and residency in Germany.
He performed and assisted more than 50.000 diagnostic coronary angiographies, right-left catheterizations and more than 20000 coronary balloon dilatations, stent implantations and other invasive cardiology procedures from 2001 to 2020.
He has experience in treatment of complex coronary lesions (for instance, stenosis in the proximal end of blood vessels, stenotic bifurcation) with stent implantation.
He has also experience in dilatation of the occluded coronary arteries (chronic total occlusion) and treatment of such vessels with stent implantation.
He worked as Heart Failure Specialist responsible for heart transplant in the Heart Transplantation Program of the Florence Nightingale Hospital.
He has experience in implantation of permanent pacemaker (biventricular cardioverter defibrillator) for cardiac resynchronization therapy in management of the advanced heart failure.
He is experienced in implantation of permanent pacemaker/cardioverter defibrillator for rhythm and conduction disorders.
Furthermore, he has experience in removal of permanent pacemaker and previously placed electrodes, when needed.
He has experience in ablation therapy for heart rhythm disorders.
He developed permanent pacemaker implantation technique and introduced this technique to the global medical literature for patients with persistent left vena cava superior anomaly (congenital anomaly of heart vessels).
After completing the doctorate programme at the Division of Heart Failure of the Heidelberg University Clinic, he was awarded the title “PhD”.
His articles have been published in local and international scientific journals and he was also reviewer in scientific journals. He has authored book chapters (Innere Medizin Herold) and papers presented in congresses.
He participated in local and international research programmes (the European Union projects).
He is included in the List of Reliable Doctors issued by the Consulate General of Germany in Istanbul (He is authorized to issue a medical report for those who apply for studying or working in Germany).
